Welcome is usually a very positive word. When we get new foster parents we are so joyful, and the word means we are glad for you to join us, we will support you, we look forward to what you can contribute to our agency. We know these people have worked hard to get their house ready, trained to understand and use our program, and worked with us to find the best fit of children for their home.
When we say welcome to children into these foster homes, we mean we have been looking forward to serving you, inviting you into our agency, helping you in whatever way we can, and learning from you and your point of view.
When we welcome new staff into our group homes we really look forward to training them and making them part of an excellent team that will ultimately make a difference for children. As Program Administrator I have the honor to go to each group home and listen to their plans, trainings and genuine interest in working together and with the children.
Finally, when we welcome children into the group homes, we are saying we are sorry you had a long difficult road to get here, and we would like to work with you, listen to you, and ultimately help you graduate from the group home into a lower level of care,
We always like to welcome new volunteers, new foster parents, new interest groups and new friends.
