Our staff are working hard to make the season special; however, the people who donate to us will help everyone feel better about the holidays this year in more ways than one.
It is always fun for children to wish for something, and then actually receive it. More than that, as we talk with the children about what the season means to them, how it feels to have strangers care enough about them to send gifts to them, they begin to understand what it means to belong to a community.
To belong to a community that cares about children is a new thought for many of our children. What a wonderful memory for the children! If you want to be a part of this and give to a child, we always have at least 2 or 3 children who come Christmas Eve, and we are scrambling to get them gifts. Late givers are always welcome, and you could really be a help. Just call the office at (916) 489-5316.
